The Rise of Orbánism: A Christian Identity for Europe

A sitting head of government publicly what most Western leaders are too compromised or too cowardly to admit.

Viktor Orban is not speaking from a pulpit. He is speaking from a position of political authority, looking at the state of an entire continent, and delivering a verdict that the Brussels establishment finds intolerable. Europe is not struggling because of economic mismanagement alone. It is struggling because it deliberately cut itself off from the root system that produced the civilization it is now trying to preserve without the source that built it. You cannot keep the fruit when you have destroyed the tree.

The post-Christian project in Europe has had decades to prove its alternative vision. Open borders without moral framework. Relativism without foundation. Progress without reference to anything permanent. The results are visible in real time across every major European city. Rising disorder, collapsing birth rates, a generation with no coherent identity and no transcendent sense of purpose. Orban is not diagnosing a problem nobody can see. He is simply willing to name the cause that others have decided is politically unspeakable.

Returning to Christ is not a romantic nostalgia for a medieval past. It is a recognition that the values producing human dignity, ordered liberty, and genuine community have a source. And that source is not the European Union. Every nation that tries to sustain the fruit of Christian civilization while rejecting its foundation will eventually discover what Europe is discovering right now.
