Do not panic when snakes start appearing. Fire brings them out. In Acts Paul gathered sticks and placed them into the fire, and a viper came out because of the heat and fastened onto his hand. The snake was already there. The fire exposed it.
As you grow spiritually, hidden opposition surfaces. People you never had conflict with suddenly turn. Attacks increase without clear cause. Accusations appear you did not create. You think something went wrong.
It did not.
The fire increased.
The presence of God does not only comfort. It exposes. What stayed hidden in cooler seasons cannot stay hidden when the temperature rises. The same anointing that strengthens you disturbs what was tolerating you.
Notice the timing. The snake appeared when Paul was serving, not when he was idle. Advancement provokes manifestation. You are not being punished. You are being revealed to what was already near you.
The island expected Paul to swell and fall. Instead he shook the snake into the fire and kept moving. The attack predicted his end. The fire revealed his authority.
Every new level will surface resistance that was quiet before. Not because you are losing ground. Because you are taking it.
Do not lower the fire to keep snakes comfortable. Do not retreat because opposition became visible. Exposure is not failure. It is confirmation.
When the fire rises, what cannot stay will manifest.
Shake it off and continue the assignment.
