In heaven, there are white garments.
Real garments. Not symbolic. Not metaphor. Not decoration. They are prepared by God himself, woven in the spirit realm, pure, radiant, and glowing. These garments are not ordinary. They are expensive. I mean, really, expensive in the spirit realm. They carry value, authority, protection, and status. Anyone from the dark world knows this. They understand the weight of this garment, the authority it gives, the protection it carries. And they are watching. Constantly.
Let's walk step by step.
When a person truly says yes to Jesus Christ, something happens instantly in heaven. It is legal. Your sins are forgiven, your name is written in the Book of Life, and at that same moment, a white garment is issued to you. It is the righteousness of Christ placed upon you. Not earned. Not worked for. Given freely; but it is priceless.
And here is the first truth many believers do not realize: this garment is for protection, but it can also be stolen.
Yes. Stolen. Not just stained. People in the dark world, yes, those who operate in darkness, unseen by most; know the value of your covering. They understand its weight and authority. And they seek to snatch it from you. Before they attack physically or spiritually, they target the garment. They study your life, your patterns, your vulnerabilities. They watch for carelessness, distractions, offense, gossip, pride, and compromise. And when they find it; they try to steal it.
Let's slow down. For this is crucial.
The garment does three things:
It covers your spiritual nakedness.
It protects you from legal access by the kingdom of darkness.
It grants you authority and access to God.
Without it, you are exposed. Vulnerable. Easy prey. Open for attack.
And this is where offense comes in.
Offense is subtle. Someone hurts you. Someone ignores you. Someone disappoints you. You justify your anger. You replay it in your head. You tell your friends. You rant. You argue. And suddenly, the garment begins to weaken. Bitterness stains it. Words produce agreements in the spirit. You think you are just venting... little do you know, you are giving access. And yes, the enemy loves it when you feel justified.
Next is gossip.
Every time a believer tears down another with words; especially another believer, they are creating spiritual holes. They are feeding the accuser of the brethren. They are giving the enemy access. Every careless word, every whisper, every slander, allows the garment to be compromised.
And now, the one most believers completely miss: idolatry or visiting spiritual entities outside Christ.
Many go to diviners, spiritualists, or other supernatural sources thinking they are just 'getting insight.' What they don't know is that when they enter those realms, the garment gets stolen from them. Not just stained, stolen. These spiritual entities have the ability to see in the spirit. They understand coverings. They know what belongs to God's children. So, when a believer steps into those spaces, they leave the protection behind. And walk out spiritually naked.
Yes, I said naked. Not in the symbolic sense, but vulnerable, exposed, open for attack.
And sometimes, that is exactly why people experience dreams of being naked in the spirit. Usually, that is a warning; a spiritual reality that you are exposed. And when you are exposed. Attacks intensify, life becomes heavy, prayers feel stuck, and favor seems delayed. Not because God left you, but because your covering was compromised.
Now, this is also where the enemy's cunning becomes clear.
The enemy knows that stealing a garment is easier than defeating a fully armored believer head-on. So they work subtly. They manipulate offense. They encourage gossip. They entice divided allegiance. And when they see weakness; Snatch! They attempt to take your covering entirely.
Yes, this garment is that valuable.
But here is the hope.
God restores.
When a believer repents; truly repents, renounces offense, cleanses the mouth, refuses gossip, abandons idolatry, and fully reclaims the Lordship of Jesus Christ; the garment can be restored. Sometimes immediately. Sometimes through a process of rebuilding obedience, discipline, and awareness.
God is not eager to leave His children exposed. He delights in covering them again. He delights in restoring what was stolen. He delights in training His children to guard what is precious.
And when the garment is restored, authority flows again. Favor returns. Access is re-established. Prayers carry weight. The believer walks empowered, protected, clothed in righteousness, and ready to tread on serpents and scorpions. The kingdom of darkness sees it, and they hesitate; because legal covering carries authority.
Isaiah 61:10; He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.
Revelation 3:5; He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments.
Revelation 16:15; Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.
Ephesians 6:11; Put on the whole armor of God.
1 Peter 5:8; Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
So hear me carefully:
There are white garments in heaven. They are expensive. Priceless. Protective. Authority-giving. They are given freely but must be guarded. They can be stained. They can be stolen. They can be restored. And those who keep them walk in authority, favor, and protection.
Do not give access carelessly. Guard it. Value it. Protect it.
For those who lost their garment, rejoice because the same God who clothes you also restores what was lost.
May the Lord restore every stolen garment. May He clothe His children afresh. May He give wisdom, discernment, and power to hold what heaven has given.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
