Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog (Thorsten Owusu Gyimah), a leading
figure in the country's drill movement, has signed a publishing agreement with
West Night Publishing.
Yaw Tog rose to prominence with his breakout single
"Soree" in 2020, featuring O'Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie, and Jay Bahd.
The track became an anthem of Ghana's Asakaa drill sound and was followed by
the international hit "Soree Remix" in 2021, featuring Stormzy and
Kwesi Arthur. His growing catalog also includes standout tracks such as
"Time," "Fake Ex," "Gold Friends," and
"Asohhh."
Through this deal, West Night will manage Yaw Tog's
publishing rights, ensuring his compositions are properly administered,
collected, and positioned for new opportunities across Africa and globally.
"This is an important step in my journey," said
Yaw Tog. "I want my music to carry Ghana's voice further, and with the
right support, I can focus fully on creating and sharing my story."
Seidu Iddrisu, CEO of West Night Publishing, added:
