The Member of Parliament for the Talensi constituency in the Upper East Region, Robert Nachinab Doameng was enskinned as the new paramount chief for the Talensi traditional area after his GHc5 billion bid was accepted.
The enskinment of Robert Doameng took place at the palace of the overlord of Nakerigu Naa Bohagu Mahama Abdulai Sheriga on Wednesday.
Mr. Robert Doameng was among the thirty-two contestants who vied for the chieftaincy position.
He bidded Ghc5 billion with a brand new tractor and three houses to be built for the Nalerigu overlord Naa Bohagu Abdulai Sheriga to win the paramountcy race in Nalerigu.
He is expected to remain in Nalerigu to undergo the final rites and may depart the next day for the Talensi land where his rule over the traditional area commences.
He will also go through some critical traditional initiation rites as demanded by tradition while embarking on his journey back to the Talensi land.
Efforts made by Citi News to speak to him after the enskinment proved futile.
